The inside sales manager is a sales representative that has responsibility for selling within an organization.

Inside Sales Manager Duties:

  • Manage and lead the sales team
  • Develop a sales process, including routine review of sales activities, providing feedback, and identifying trends
  • Perform market research to identify new or potential sales opportunities
  • Implement sales strategies based on market research and company objectives
  • Manage and maintain sales databases, including information accessed from social networking sites
  • Promote the sale of new products or services
  • Develop strategies for customer retention and sales cycle

Inside Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Internally source, qualify, and close new deals to increase unit sales revenue and market share
  • Wrote and submitted SOW’s, provide field product demo’s and product support for new and existing customers
  • Work closely with operations, field sales, and marketing teams to increase sales
  • Manage distribution resources and administration, including order tracking of customer orders, purchase orders, work orders, and warranty claims
  • Provide all field information to service line sales personnel
  • Help prepare, implement, and monitor promotional plans
  • Track customer leads and renew or retain existing accounts
  • Implement, maintain, and study new sales techniques

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of sales experience required
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain revenue goals and quotas
  • Strong experience in consultative selling
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively train employees on sales techniques
  • Ability to effectively lead
