Intelligence Analyst Job Description

An intelligence analyst, also referred to as an intelligence professional, is an intelligence specialist who gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information and intelligence to policymakers.

An intelligence analyst may work for the government or for a non-state intelligence organization, such as an intelligence agency or a secret services organisation.

Intelligence Analyst Duties:

• Gather, synthesize, and analyze information for use in developing and maintaining current intelligence, information, and counterintelligence programs
• Maintain current knowledge of intelligence-related issues, policies, and procedures
• Promote intelligence-related community awareness
• Stay current with intelligence reporting, analysis, and dissemination
• Use management level intelligence in day-to-day operations
• Work with intelligence personnel to acquire intelligence
• Promote intelligence programs in an organization

Intelligence Analyst Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on data, trends, and information to identify security threats, risks, vulnerabilities, and potential security breaches, and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to perform background checks, perform property inspections, and provide other security services
• Document and present findings, recommendations, and recommendations, and ensure they are incorporated into company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven 3+ years of experience as an intelligence analyst/human intelligence collector
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data collection and analysis
• Expert knowledge of relevant analytical methodologies
• Expert knowledge of relevant tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
