Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Intervention Specialist who can help us improve our students’ academic performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in an urban school setting and be familiar with a variety of instructional strategies. They will also be able to effectively communicate with parents and other stakeholders.

Intervention Specialist Duties:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services
  • Support individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance abuse
  • Provide assessment, plan, and treatment for individuals experiencing distress
  • Coordinate with other human service professionals, provide referrals, and coordinate services
  • Conduct intakes, assessments, and treatment plans

  • Create relevant documentation, including reports, charts, and presentations, for use by physicians and legal teams
  • Coordinate medical and legal review of testing protocols
  • Communicate test results to medical providers and attorneys
  • Develop medical and legal presentations for litigation and settlement purposes

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
  • 2+ years’ documented experience providing social services, mental health, or rehabilitation services
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
