Job Brief:

We're looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to hit the ground running.

IT Business Analyst Duties:

  • Underwrite, develop, and maintain information technology (IT) systems, including infrastructure, network, and software systems
  • Design, develop, analyze, and test software applications
  • Provide operational support for network, server, and desktop systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems and processes
  • Assist with disaster recovery and recovery plans
  • Research, design, implement, and maintain hardware and software applications
  • Monitor network performance, security, and availability
  • Participate in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and vendors
  • Assist in IT strategic planning
  • Develop and maintain documentation
  • Research, analyze, and recommend hardware and software improvements

IT Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess business requirements, design and implement IT solutions using a variety of tools
  • Assist in financial planning and modeling, and assist in cost/benefit analysis
  • Input and maintain documentation, perform quality assurance, document test cases, and run QA tests
  • Perform general IT support tasks, such as installing and upgrading computers and software programs, maintaining websites, installing and monitoring servers, and analyzing hardware and software problems
  • Manage and document IT assets and programs, and specify hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Assign and document solutions relating to security, accessibility, and business continuity
  • Manage IT projects, including new implementation, design, and transition
  • Manage vendor relationships, including bid solicitation, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and vendor performance monitoring
  • Create, manage, and distribute IT project reports, budgets, and timelines
  • Manage vendor relationships

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise applications for regulated financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of application development processes, including project management, testing, and requirements gathering
