Layout Designer Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the flow of product on assembly lines to meet production targets
  • Assist in scheduling production equipment to meet production requirements
  • Collaborate with purchasing agents and plant personnel on material availability, freight scheduling, and inventory control
  • Use graphic software to create production plans, track inventory, and complete other related tasks
  • Eliminate waste and inefficiencies from production systems
  • Work closely with the business to achieve production goals and improve productivity
  • Advise senior management on operational and purchasing issues, including price increases and cost reductions

Requirements And Skills:

  • Experience in using construction software
  • 2+ years experience in design
  • Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Attention to details
