Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Leasing Consultant to join our team. The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for assisting potential residents with their apartment search, providing information about the community and amenities, and completing lease paperwork. Leasing Consultant Duties:

  • Preparing lease contracts for potential properties that comply with current state laws
  • Contacting prospective tenants to collect lease and financial information
  • Maintaining tenant records and updates
  • Marketing properties to tenants
  • Preparing lease renewals
  • Recommending lease amendments
  • Facilitating any changes requested by tenants
  • Tracking tenant accounts

Leasing Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between residents and the leasing team, and assure all residents receive excellent customer service
  • Provide residents with information on available units, new developments, community events, and other relevant information
  • Promote occupancy goals, and maintain lease expiration and renewal percentages
  • Conduct tours for potential residents and schedule appointments
  • Maintain resident files, including change of address information, and contact residents when necessary by their preferred method
  • Provide leasing support and maintenance
  • Assist in lease closing and move-in processes
  • Assist with move-in events, including property tours and move-in parties
  • Assist with move-out processes, including cleaning, return inspections, and property maintenance
  • Oversee resident retention and renewal
  • Assist with rent collection

Requirements And Skills:

  • Proven experience in property management or sales
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and leasing regulations
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
