Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our medical clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in providing high-quality patient care and will be able to work well under pressure. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties:

  • Performs nursing duties in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organization policies
  • Receives direction from licensed nurse, physician, or medical director
  • Assists physician by administering medications, treatments, and care to patient population
  • Medicates, performs intra- and post-operative care, and provides wound care
  • Performs essential procedures, such as injections, blood draws, and dialysis
  • Inform patient, family, and staff about the effects of treatment, medications, and other health aspects
  • Performs routine medical record documentation as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities:

  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Louisiana
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of clinical assessment and treatment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Proven ability to keep accurate, well-organized records and reports

  • Oversee all aspects of care to clients within their scope of practice

  • Monitor and supervise the efficient functioning of all nursing personnel, including staff scheduling, development of quality plans, development of staff performance measures, and assessment of performance
  • Control and maintain all financial records to maintain adequate insurance coverage
  • Providing direct patient care, administering medications, and supervising other medical personnel
  • Working with the public, families, staff, and other departments
