Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Duties:

  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance, and exhibit leadership qualities
  • Perform the nursing duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Conduct initial evaluations and observe and evaluate progression of care
  • Comply with established policies, procedures, and codes of practice
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized

  • Completes assignments in a timely manner, following prescribed policies and procedures
  • Maintains open and frequent communication with supervisor regarding all patients under his or her care
  • Responds to emergency situations

  • Performs the nursing duties associated with the department and within the scope of his or her licensure
