Line workers are people who work, build, and maintain power lines.

The lines they maintain may be independently owned or belong to an electric utility.

Line workers can work on construction crews or in the field maintaining existing lines.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for Line Workers to join our team at the factory. You will be responsible for operating machines to assemble products on the production line. This is a fast-paced environment where you will need to be able to keep up with the pace of the line. If you are a team player with a positive attitude, we want you on our team!

Line Worker Duties:

  • Perform all tasks necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of a construction-related job
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Leverage personal skills and knowledge to evaluate complicated work and problem solving situations
  • Assist in ensuring all tasks are performed within an acceptable time frame
  • Contribute to team cohesiveness
  • Understand and follow all safety guidelines
  • Optimum organization skills required

Line Worker Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks on building sites, including, but not limited to, operating machinery, operating power tools, and using hand tools
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with the safety regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Follow all instructions as given by the supervisor
  • Complete all required paperwork and reports
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work 40 hours per week, 7 days per week, including some evenings and weekends
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/job related experience required

Requirements And Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Subway, light rail, or bus experience preferred
  • Ability to navigate automated fare collection system
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Must pass the pre-employment drug test and background check
