A litigation paralegal is an individual whose degree is in the field of paralegal studies.

These paralegals work closely with lawyers and other legal professionals.

They may often assist the lawyer with research, conducting interviews, and preparing other documents.

They may also prepare legal pleadings, such as complaints and complaints, as well as subpoenas, subpoenas, interrogatories, and deposition notices.

We’re looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation, from pre-trial through trial. Litigation Paralegal Duties:

  • Collaborate with attorneys in formulating strategies, drafting pleadings, and researching case law
  • Track legal cases, including preparation of court documents
  • Provide administrative support for attorneys
  • Gather supporting documents for case files
  • Record oral testimony
  • Prepare legal documents, including wills and other contracts
  • Prepare and organize files for trial

Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, update, and file all case files in accordance with court rules, court decisions, and practices and procedures of the firm’s practice area
  • Prepare documents for court appearances, hearings, depositions, and other hearings
  • Assist with setting up and coordinating depositions
  • Prepare correspondence and responses, draft emails, and manage calendar schedule
  • Attend hearings and be prepared to take notes and file all documents related to the case
  • Assist with document production and gathering evidence
  • Track, record, and document all evidentiary matters, including obtaining, reviewing, storing, and removing documents
  • Serve as liaison between firm departments and client / attorney, and draft correspondence and responses to client inquiries
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with courthouse personnel, judges, and opposing counsel
  • Provide backup for attorneys and paralegals

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 2+ years experience in a litigation support role, preferably in a law firm
  • Experience in developing legal documents and documents for deposition
  • Preferred knowledge of legal terminology
