Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Lube Technician to join our team and help us keep our vehicles in top shape. As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing more complex problems. If you are a skilled and experienced Lube Technician, we want you on our team!

Lube Technician Duties:

  • Clean, inspect, and lubricate internal combustion engines for automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles
  • Perform an extensive visual inspection
  • Inspect the exhaust system, engine compartment, and chassis for leaks and damage
  • Clean, inspect, and lubricate moving parts
  • Make minor adjustments to complete repairs
  • Be knowledgeable with vehicles, engines, and servicing
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Perform minor engine repairs
  • Perform minor vehicle repairs
  • Assist with scheduling

Lube Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in leading, monitoring, and coaching the Lube department, including performing oil changes, ordering parts, inspecting vehicle components, and providing outstanding customer service
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program
  • Perform scheduled routine maintenance, including rotating tires, filling fluids, replacing brake pads, and replacing fluids
  • Support the General Manager in ensuring honest, accurate, and fair treatment of customers and employees
  • Assist in identifying and resolving customer complaints
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Help build and maintain customer relationships
  • Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Assist in auditing and inspecting work performed by others
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Must have 2 years experience as a lube tech in industrial or construction environment
  • Knowledge of the basic lubricants and their proper applications, including synthetic and petroleum products
  • Knowledge of brake systems, including applicable preventive maintenance procedures
