Magazine Editor Job Description

In journalism, a magazine editor writes and edits articles, columns, or manuscripts to be published in a magazine.

Magazine editors evaluate articles or columns for content, style, and clarity before publishing them.

They work closely with writers, editors, publishers, and art directors to produce the magazine.

The editor may work closely with an art director, who creates layout designs, and also with the production editor, who oversees the publishing procedure.

Many magazine editors work in-house in magazines published by large corporations.
