Job Brief:

We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The engineer will be responsible for performing all maintenance tasks, including scheduled and unscheduled repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. He or she will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, and experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Maintenance Engineer Duties:

• Coordinate and perform maintenance activities on existing systems and equipment
• Conduct routine, preventive maintenance on equipment
• Assist with troubleshooting problems on machinery, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration
• Schedule all repairs on equipment ensuring proper testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance is performed
• Assist with replacement of equipment and parts as needed
• Perform minor repairs on appliances
• Maintain inventory of major components and supplies
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants as necessary to solve equipment problems

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

• Maintain the comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all company-owned equipment, including scheduling and execution of routine and annual inspections, and identifying and fixing problems
• Manage work order requests, developing time estimates, and ensuring timely completion
• Communicate with employees to ensure they know the status of their equipment
• Assist with the timely repair of equipment breakdowns, while ensuring quality standards are met
• Maintain inventory and ordering records
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance manual

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management
• 2+ years’ experience in building maintenance or facility management
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and systems
• Ability to professionally supervise maintenance and repair staff
• Strong planning and organization skills
