We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to help us keep our facility running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical problems, performing preventive maintenance, and making repairs as needed. Maintenance Mechanic Duties:

  • Maintain equipment, buildings, or other property to ensure the proper functioning of an organization
  • Evaluate the condition of property and report repairs or replacements for preventive maintenance
  • Complete maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and minor repair work

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, vehicle systems, and facilities to extend the life of assets
  • Prevent failures, malfunctions, and breakdowns of systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance
  • Report equipment, vehicle, and facility downtime, and work to prevent problems
  • Perform minor emergency repairs
  • Monitor and document vehicle and equipment operations, including fuel consumption, utilization, and downtime
  • Secure facility, equipment, and work areas with appropriate safety and security measures
  • Perform inventory checks
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and vehicles to identify and assess problems or obstacles that may impact equipment performance
  • Perform equipment setup and calibration as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other mechanical maintenance
  • Professional certification or state licensure in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other mechanical maintenance fields a plus
  • Experience with service-based work; ability to perform routine maintenance
