We’re looking for a Martial Arts Instructor who can teach our students the discipline and techniques they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will be patient, knowledgeable, and able to adapt their teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student. Martial Arts Instructor Duties:

  • Create a training program for any class level, including elementary, intermediate, and elite
  • Create curriculum and lesson plans for class sessions
  • Estimate class size and age group for each session
  • Plan practices to promote mastery of curriculum and techniques
  • Maintain efficient and orderly practice areas
  • Schedule practices and classes
  • Evaluate student progress in class and after classes
  • Liaise with parents and administration regarding student progress
  • Develop a reception program to welcome new students
  • Maintain student records, including attendance, grades, discipline, and test scores
  • Work as a role model for other students

Martial Arts Instructor Responsibilities:

  • Provide martial arts instruction to groups of children and adults
  • Lead adult and youth martial arts classes, including boxing, kickboxing, and jiu jitsu, as well as self-defense, self-defense for women, parenting classes, and seminars
  • Make required reports to administration, including accident reports, enrollment numbers, and attendance records
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in facility and on premises
  • Develop, implement, and revise curriculum, including lesson planning, instructional techniques, and behavioral management
  • Liaise with key personnel in related disciplines, including front desk staff, facility maintenance staff, and accounting staff, and operations support personnel
  • Work with parents to explain schedules and activities
  • Communicate with parents, students, and administration regarding class schedules, student attendance, facility and personnel emergencies, and facility events

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 2+ years’ teaching experience in martial arts
  • Previous experience instructing kids
  • Ability to work with students of all ages
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral and written
