Job Brief:

We’re looking for Med Tech to join our team and help us provide the best possible care for our patients. Med Techs are an important part of our team, and we’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and providing the best possible care.

Med Tech Duties:

  • Assist physicians in performing medical procedures
  • Procures, prepares, and administers drugs
  • Instructs patients about medications and treatments
  • Liaises with medical staff and other personnel regarding patient status
  • Conducts routine laboratory tests and examinations

Med Tech Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment set up and tear down, as well as reconfiguration of existing equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electromedical and diagnostic devices, including patient monitors, EKG machines, PACS, cath labs, ultrasounds, and x-ray systems
  • Identify problems and provide resolutions or alternatives for equipment issues and failures, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and recalls
  • Disassemble, clean, disinfect, and reassemble equipment, including daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance
  • Train, evaluate, and appraise employees
  • Report equipment usage, safety violations, and non-compliance to management

Requirements And Skills:

  • High school diploma; hospital, medical or technical training preferred
  • 2+ years of work experience in a medical setting
  • Ability to perform simple laboratory tests; certification preferred
  • Ability to work under stress and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
