Job Brief:

We're looking for a Media Coordinator to join our team. The Media Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of our media strategy. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with media outlets, creating and executing media plans, and writing and distributing press releases. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in communications or a related field, and at least three years of experience working in the media industry. Media Coordinator Duties:

  • Manage all media efforts including distribution, advertising, e-mail, website, social media, print, and direct mail
  • Find and negotiate media opportunities
  • Act as media liaison between client and media representatives
  • Coordinate with design, production, and advertising departments
  • Manage media budget
  • Oversee publication of client’s monthly publication
  • Develop new and effective marketing plans

Media Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Research and compose press releases, articles, and newsletters for local newspapers and business publications
  • Assist in marketing and branding efforts; distribute brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials
  • Create content for and assist with social media promotion
  • Coordinate events, including conferences, press conferences, or sales meetings
  • Gather and summarize reports, information, or news for distribution to media outlets
  • Manage correspondence and scheduling
  • Forward calls and correspond via email
  • Prepare weekly and monthly to-do lists
