Media Planner Duties:

Media Planner Responsibilities:

  • Analyze clients’ media buying, scheduling, and planning needs in order to recommend media strategies and tactics that achieve desired campaign results
  • Assume responsibility for media selection and placement, as well as product and price negotiations
  • Brief media representatives on campaign goals and details, and negotiate final rates
  • Track client activity, and make appropriate adjustments based on results
  • Create media reports that contain campaign information, media results, and performance analysis
  • Utilize third-party resources to manage campaign execution
  • Approve budgets for clients’ media plans

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or communications-related field
  • 2+ years experience in media planning, buying and strategy, including knowledge of digital media
  • Exposure to media and advertising industry through self-study, work experience, etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
