Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Medical Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the medical staff and patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Medical Administrative Assistant Duties:

  • Obtain and maintain all medical records, insurance cards and authorizations, and employees’ personnel files
  • Prepare, process, and maintain payroll, including direct deposit and deductions
  • Generate reports for management use
  • Co-ordinate staff work schedules
  • Maintain filing systems and databases
  • Maintain and update technical and administrative procedures, policies, and standards
  • Screen and interview potential new hires
  • Coordinate medical office procedures
  • Maintain and update medical office forms
  • Perform other duties that may be required

Medical Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

  • 2+ years of medical office experience
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days and evenings
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to deal tactfully with internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
