Medical Officer Duties:

  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of medical services
  • Assist physicians with patient care delivery
  • Work with other providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with physicians, patients, and colleagues
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, billing, and record keeping

Medical Officer Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate medical records and reports to determine patient’s health status, needs, and treatment, and advise physicians and other healthcare specialists
  • Create and maintain patient health records
  • Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and provide follow-up care
  • Advise patients on preventative and healthy habits
  • Serve as primary healthcare provider for patients
  • Contribute to business development and Strategic Planning
  • Attend regular staff meetings
  • Provide support for clinical and administrative functions
  • Attend medical conferences, trainings, and meetings
  • Assist with patient referrals and follow-up
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts, reports, and patient records
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine or health sciences
  • 2+ years experience in a medical practice or hospital
  • Good demonstrated knowledge of clinical procedures, disease processes and appropriate use of medical technologies
