Job Brief:

We're looking for a qualified Medical Records Technician to help us maintain our patient records. You will be responsible for ensuring that all medical records are accurate and up to date, as well as keeping track of any changes or updates that need to be made. If you have experience with medical records and are detail-oriented, we want you on our team!

Medical Records Technician Duties:

  • Makes administrative recommendations to physicians and nurses regarding patient care and treatment
  • Oversee medical records department
  • Uphold record security policies and procedures
  • Provide information based on medical record-keeping rules
  • Assist physicians with assessments and treatments
  • Process inpatients’ information and discharge summaries in a timely manner
  • Process and submit insurance claims
  • Perform other assigned duties

Medical Records Technician Responsibilities:

  • Current CPR certification
  • High school and GED diploma required
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in medical office setting
  • Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records, electronic billing, and claims adjudication
