Job Brief:

We're looking for a Merchandise Coordinator to join our team! As a Merchandise Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory and ordering of all merchandise for our company. In this role, you will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to ensure that all merchandise is properly stocked and available for our customers. Merchandise Coordinator Duties:

  • Manage inventory for merchant operations
  • Maintain efficient inventory control system
  • Oversee and ensure proper inventory control
  • Prepare physical inventories as scheduled
  • Maintain product and service replenishment objectives
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and order picking
  • Maintain stockroom, warehouse, and dock areas
  • Implement and administer loss prevention programs
  • Ensure all merchandise is bagged, tagged, and labeled accordingly
  • Conduct regular audits and spot inspection of inventories
  • Process inventory write-offs and transfers
  • Implement, coordinate, and monitor safety programs
  • Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements

Merchandise Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and distribute merchandise in the warehouse, completing quality control inspections
  • Process incoming shipments, including unpacking, sorting, labeling, examining, and assembling
  • Stock merchandise in shelves and displays, according to store planograms and signage
  • Keep warehouse stocked and organized, monitoring inventory levels, conducting periodic cycle counts, and collecting merchandise returns as needed
  • Perform stockroom duties, including shipping orders, placing orders for replenishments, and filling customer orders, coordinating with vendors as necessary
  • Prepare merchandise displays, and restock and inspect them as needed, arranging for weekly vendor deliveries and coordinating with them on delivery schedules and stocking levels
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues and maintain inventory levels
  • Maintain and update all records required for inventory and warehousing
