Mold Maker Job Description

A mold maker is a company that designs, produces, and builds molds for plastic parts.

In most plastic molding applications, a mold maker will work with a molder, who builds and handles the finished molds.

Mold makers design the molds that will be used to build the plastic parts.

Mold makers often collaborate with engineers or design engineers to produce the molds for their projects.

Mold makers often advise molders on the best type of mold to use and the best molding processes to use.

The mold maker tests the molds in the machine room.
