Job Brief

We're looking for a Mortgage Processor to join our team! As a Mortgage Processor, you will be responsible for processing mortgage loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking regulations. You will also work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and closing agents to ensure loans close on time. Mortgage Processor Duties

  • Process applications from borrowers for mortgage financing.
  • Routinely evaluate, evaluate and process mortgage applications from borrowers.
  • Incorporate proper lending guidelines into the decision process.
  • Provide mortgage information to consumers.
  • Perform quality control checks.
  • Establish and maintain performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing professional relationships.

Mortgage Processor Responsibilities

  • Complete all administrative functions required for loan application processing, including gathering, organizing, and submitting paper and electronic data.
  • Develop and maintain detailed files on each customer’s credit history, employment history, and financial resources.
  • Assist customers by telephone at the loan origination stage, by reviewing documentation and verifying information, and assuring files are accurate and completed.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Maintain a well-organized workplace including filing systems and archiving.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for continued employment.
  • Participate in on-the-job training.
