Network Consultant Duties:

• Create, implement, and maintain internet, intranet, and local area network systems
• Develop, implement, and maintain backup and recovery systems
• Maintain and monitor backup systems
• Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery plans
• Ensure the IT infrastructure is protected against outside threats
• Monitor performance of all IT hardware and software
• Ensure systems are backed up on a regular basis
• Ensure backup systems can withstand maximum load
• Implement software upgrades
• Develop, implement, and maintain network security policies
• Establish security standards
• Ensure systems are safe from unauthorized access

Network Consultant Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of proposals, bidding strategies, and presentations to prospective clients
• Perform onsite surveys of existing networks, including documentation and network diagrams
• Assist in the development and maintenance of hardware inventory, software licenses, and data center configuration
• Assist in developing proposal content, including research and identification of general hardware components
• Assist in evaluating vendor proposals and providing recommendations to management
• Meet with prospective clients and perform demonstrations of network, data storage, and disaster recovery solutions
• Manage and maintain client list
• Research and identify potential new sales leads

Requirements And Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology / EC-Council , CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, CCNP
• 3+ years experience in Network Administration and Engineering Technical Support
• Knowledge of network architecture, networking protocol design, network troubleshooting
• Knowledge of network security
