Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Network Support Technician who can help us ensure that our network infrastructure is always running smoothly. As our Network Support Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting our network, as well as providing support to our users. Network Support Technician Duties:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years experience in cisco networking technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to trouble shoot, configure, and administer security, network, and voice equipment
  • Ability to work with customer management tools, such as cisco ccna simulator, or cisco bureau and cisco enterprise
  • Ability to work with third party cisco products
  • Ability to install and maintain cisco switch, router, firewall, and voip products
  • Ability to install and maintain telxius ldap server.

Network Support Technician Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls, diagnose, and resolve customer technical problems in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation, investigating the root cause of issues
  • Perform system maintenance, install updates, upgrades, and patches, and resolve hardware, software, and network performance issues
  • Train end-users on hardware and software solutions to resolve technical issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair computers, workstations, and peripherals
  • Provide remote desktop support and trouble tickets
  • Conduct periodic backups, restore, and disaster recovery testing
  • Monitor system logs, and proactively identify and escalate issues that may require further attention
  • Perform regular site surveys and inventory audits
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending new technologies for implementation
  • Create new user accounts and reset passwords
  • Assist with hardware upgrades as needed
  • Configure and configure network devices
  • Provide Tier 1/2 support

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science
  • 2+ years proven experience in network support role
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of end users
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
