Outside Sales Representative Duties:

  • Provide leadership and management for outside sales team, ensuring company principals are reflected in the new sales initiatives
  • Develop and implement company-wide training programs for new staff as well as existing staff
  • Ensure all departments follow company policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Recruit and generate new business opportunities by maintaining existing client relationships and prospecting new ones
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors, companies, and industry trends
  • Prepare proposals, price quotes, and bids as required
  • Coordinate activities of outside sales team and company personnel
  • Develop and implement successful sales strategies
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Provide assistance to company principals in meetings with clients

Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Drive new sales by cultivating and managing customer relationships, prospecting for new business, and identifying customer needs
  • Meet sales quotas by cold calling, personal visits, and presentations, and maintain accurate records, including sales forecasts, reports, and expense reports
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with business leaders and decision makers
  • Oversee and manage all outside sales teams

  • Well-developed negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Internet client-based sales programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
