Painter Job Description

A painter is a person who uses brushes, rollers, or some other tool to paint.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a painter to help us paint our living room.

Painter Duties:

• Perform interior and exterior painting tasks including dry wall, priming, and broad cleaning
• Apply materials such as paint, caulking, putty, and wallpaper finishing adhesive
• Apply finish coats such as enamel, varnish, and polyurethane
• Maintain records of job completion
• Be punctual and work independently without supervision

Painter Responsibilities:

• Perform interior and exterior painting, along with stripping and waxing of surfaces, such as walls, windows, doors, cabinets, and woodwork
• Applying paint and other finishes based on specifications, and properly mixing colors
• Using various brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools to apply the paint and finish materials
• Setting out work, completing accurate work plans, and following safety rules during painting activities
• Performing other tasks and activities, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

• Knowledge of interior/exterior painting techniques and materials
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings
