We’re looking for Patient Access Representatives to join our team! The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to patients and their families. This includes greeting patients and visitors, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and providing information about our services. Patient Access Representative Duties:

  • Obtains and verifies the appropriate patient medical records (clinical, financial, billing, and insurance), to include patient demographics, insurance, and billing and insurance information (pre-authorizations, authorizations, referrals, and eligibility determinations)
  • Guides patient through the registration process
  • Coordinates and schedules patient appointments
  • Provides information to patients about health insurance coverage and services, including explanation of benefits
  • Inform patients of due dates for payment and links to payment portals
  • Seems discrepancies in patient bill or insurance information
  • Reviews patient’s bill for charges
  • Makes payment arrangements
  • Provides information and assistance to patients about payment due dates
  • Confirms provider/provider group, specific services, and date of service
  • Prepares referrals to providers, if needed

Patient Access Representative Responsibilities:

  • Drive patient traffic, and process and follow up with all referrals
  • Communicate with patients, family, and referring physicians regarding scheduling and insurance information
