Patient Transporter Job Description

Patient transporters are vehicles that transport patients to treatment sites, usually hospitals, surgery facilities, and rehabilitation centers.

Patient transporters can also be used to transport the blood from a hospital to a laboratory for testing.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for Patient Transporter to help us move patients around the hospital.

Patient Transporter Duties:

• Coordinate and manage the transportation of patients to and from healthcare facilities
• Maintain proper documentation of all transports
• Provide feedback regarding patient transport history
• Maintain order and cleanliness at all times while transporting patients

Patient Transporter Responsibilities:

• Valid State issued driver’s license
• At least one year of transportation experience

Requirements And Skills:

• Provide patient transportation between in-patient facilities and between facilities within the hospital
• Use available technology to track transportation for patients
• Maintain assigned vehicle and hospital property
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors
• Assist physicians and other hospital staff
• Cooperate with other departments on projects
• Contributing to special assignments as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
