We’re looking for a Pediatric Nurse to join our team and provide care for our young patients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of all ages and be able to provide them with the compassion and care they need. Pediatric Nurse Duties:

  • Provide assistance to the physicians, nurse practitioners, and other health care providers in the pediatric clinic.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Work with patients and their families to coordinate care.
  • Assist physician with examinations and treatments.
  • Monitor patient condition.
  • Train new staff members.
  • Handle emergency calls.

Pediatric Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Nursing Staff, including assignment of work, training, and performance evaluations; assist in development and updating of policies and procedures.
  • Operate a 24 hours/7 days a week on-call schedule and attend call as needed.
  • Assist in the completion of required documentation for all team members.
  • Design and implement a nursing procedure manual.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and maintain accurate reports on all inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of department supplies and budget.
  • Maintain patient files, including weekly charting and daily transfers.
  • Ensure staff and patients receive appropriate education on disease prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
  • Participate in marketing activities to establish and maintain positive patient relations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance for all team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements And Skills:

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Knowledge of pediatric care required.
  • Experience in acute, intermediate, home care, or rehabilitative care preferred.
  • Knowledge of child growth and development, developmental milestones, and behavior patterns preferred.
