A personal banker is a person who works with customers on a one-to-one basis to help meet their needs.

Personal bankers are responsible for developing relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending products and services that meet those needs.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Personal Banker to join our team. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients. You will also be responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing customer transactions, and providing support to our branch operations. Personal Banker Duties:

  • Manage all aspects related to deposits and withdrawals
  • Provide complete deposits and withdrawals to customers
  • Perform accounting functions for all customer accounts
  • Keep track of customer balance, checking account details, and daily deposits
  • Maintain proper financial records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal banking regulations and rules
  • Train employees on procedures and policies
  • Work on special projects as assigned

Personal Banker Responsibilities:

  • Open new accounts for customers and service existing accounts, including processing deposits and payments through branch deposit, ACH, telephone, and online banking services
  • Manage cash deposits and withdrawals, verifying amounts, and reconciling accounts daily
  • Stock, distribute, and price bank products, including checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit
  • Reconcile end-of-day bank counts and reconciles cash, checks, and deposits
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash, check, and deposit transactions
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts
  • Perform teller work, including cashing checks, balancing cash drawers, and completing other bank-related tasks
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
  • 2-3 years experience in a retail banking or wealth management environment
  • Proficient in both English and Spanish, both oral and written
  • Highly motivated, professional, detail-oriented, and conceptually strong
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information
