A personal trainer is any person who instructs and supervises an individual, or a group, in exercise, sports, or physical fitness.

Personal trainers typically train clients one-on-one or in small groups, and they instruct clients on correct form and proper techniques for specific exercises.

They also teach clients how to do a proper warm-up, cool-down, and stretching routine.

Personal trainers often give clients nutritional advice, and they provide exercise motivation for clients.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Personal Trainer who can help us reach our fitness goals. We want someone who is knowledgeable and experienced in helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Personal Trainer Duties:

  • Assist in development of program plans and procedures for both group and individual training
  • Train clients in effective techniques appropriate to their skill levels
  • Plan, monitor, and adjust clients’ workout programs to ensure optimal results
  • Train clients on correct nutrition and diet
  • Assist in developing and maintaining positive, productive relationships with clients
  • Maintain records of clients’ workouts and progress
  • Research and develop new techniques, trends, and products
  • Encourage clients to set and attain goals
  • Provide professional mentorship
  • Continuously monitor and investigate new developments in fitness, nutrition, and other related fields

Personal Trainer Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clients’ current levels of fitness to determine appropriate fitness programs and goals
  • Design and instruct individualized exercise programs to meet clients’ fitness needs and goals
  • Develop, implement, and document exercise programs in 5-star facilities
  • Oversee staff training to support effective delivery of programs
  • Evaluate and record progress of each client’s fitness program in order to modify or maintain programs
  • Instruct clients on proper use of fitness equipment, proper diet, and other aspects of fitness
  • Schedule and oversee clients’ workouts within 5-star facilities
  • Assist clients with scheduling, billing, and other aspects of maintaining client records
  • Research, develop, and deliver leadership and staff education and training
  • Research new health and fitness techniques and technologies
  • Maintain and update professional certifications and licenses

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in physical education, exercise science, or related field
  • 2-3 years’ personal training experience
  • CEUs in the following areas: exercise, exercise science, fitness instruction, health
  • Knowledge of exercise science principles, and the ability to use
