Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Pharmacologist to join our team and help us develop new medications and treatments.

Pharmacologist Duties:

  • Analyze and evaluate data from biological and chemical experiments in order to understand the effects of drugs and other chemicals on living organisms
  • Identify, evaluate, and test new compounds to understand their efficacy
  • Develop new drugs and test them in clinical trials
  • Use historical data, literature, and laboratory findings to develop new ideas
  • Create research protocols and oversee research teams

Pharmacologist Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with physicians, pharmacists, and patients at local, regional, and national levels
  • Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical sales representatives and decision makers within targeted therapeutic areas
  • Generate industry opportunities through effective interaction with key opinion leaders, business owners, and other key opinion leaders
  • Provide patient counseling, education, and support for patients taking specific medications
  • Gather data, analyze it, and make recommendations to improve patient care
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Work closely with other departments, including research and clinical operations, to optimize patient care
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or related field
  • 2+ years experience in clinical practice as chemist
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and dosages, controlled substance laws, and pharmacotherapeutics
  • Knowledge of drug interaction and adverse reaction prevention
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
