-Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications to patients, completing patient’s information, and completing insurance forms
-Obtain prescription refills for patients
-Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy
-Assist with inventory
-Uses and maintains pharmacy equipment and software
-May perform other duties as assigned

Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities

-Assist in filling prescriptions, verifying prescriptions, assisting customers with questions, and billing
-Prepare all prescriptions according to policy and procedure standards and state and federal regulations
-Prepare and maintain inventory
-Identify and resolve stock shortages
-Assist pharmacist with inventory counts
-Conduct drug and product training
-Maintain clean, orderly, and safe pharmacy and work area
-Maintain confidentiality of patient information
