Pricing Analyst Duties:

  • Analyze and interpret client data regarding occupancy and current market conditions
  • Determine and oversee rate changes, promotions, and other special pricing programs
  • Research and analyze client data to determine rates, profitability, and marketing strategies
  • Promote client retention by adjusting rates based on current market conditions
  • Coordinate and oversee market research and analysis
  • Develop new pricing strategies
  • Participate in training and recruiting

Pricing Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and reports to determine product profitability, including: unit pricing, profitability per unit, and margins for products by customer, by geographic region, and by product; determine pricing strategy, such as: selling price, margin, and discount rate, by customer, by region, and by product; determine product pricing trends; and identify opportunities to improve pricing strategy
  • Make recommendations and collaborate with sales, marketing, and other functional departments on pricing strategies and promotion opportunities to improve profitability; develop and maintain pricing files including sales targets, customer pricing data, product pricing data, and competitors’ pricing data; recommend a pricing policy; and reconcile pricing files
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business or finance) or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of pricing experience
  • Excellent skills in analytical, numerical, and mathematical problem solving
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
