Process technicians use their knowledge of processing fields such as food science, biology, engineering, and chemistry to analyze and research products.

They design, oversee, and test processes or procedures, and test and analyze process results.

Process technicians also may advise and assist in the running of processes, such as ensuring that equipment is operating properly and that quality of production and operation is consistent.

Process technicians are also referred to as process engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and plant engineers.

Process technicians are required to have at least an associate’s degree in an engineering technology field.

We’re looking for Process Technician to work in our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and will be able to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise. Process Technician Duties:

  • initiate, manage, and refine projects to attain optimal results
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements
  • Maintain inventory of products and materials
  • Conduct inspections and audits
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Research technical materials and data
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Maintain organized records of contacts, correspondence, and reports
  • Develop and maintain strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Process Technician Responsibilities:

  • Maintain laboratory and production equipment and systems by cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed, installing new parts, and monitoring equipment performance
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems
  • Monitor and perform preventive maintenance on production facilities and laboratories
  • Maintain inventory records, including receiving, stocking, and recording equipment in and out of stock
  • Perform daily calibrations on production equipment and quality inspection on raw materials
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory and production environment
  • Create, implement, and maintain work orders for maintenance or repair of production equipment
  • Receive and properly store raw materials and goods
  • Manage inventory records and following inventory control procedures
  • Perform routine cleaning of laboratory and production areas
  • Maintain laboratory and production documentation
  • Maintain laboratory and production equipment by cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed, installing new parts, and monitoring equipment performance

Requirements And Skills:

  • B’S (or higher) degree
  • 5-10 years experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Access or WordPerfect
  • Must have experience with scheduling, planning, and directing work flow, problem solving, and coordinating activities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple
  • Skills Needed
  • Good communication skills; ability to accurately record information
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of standard industry practices and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plans
  • Ability to use standard tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures
