Job Brief:

We're looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for sourcing and procurement of goods and services for our company in a cost-effective and efficient manner. If you have experience in this field and are looking for a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

Procurement Specialist Duties:

  • Assist Management in the sourcing, selection, and negotiating of goods and services
  • Track and report on spending and savings
  • Post purchase orders
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws
  • Implement cost saving and cost reduction measures
  • Maintain vendor/supplier relationships

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Research materials, equipment, and supplies, including domestic and international markets, and identify sources of supply, cost, quality, and delivery
  • Convert vendor quotes into purchase orders and adhere to purchasing policies, standards, and regulations
  • Understand, evaluate, and recommend materials for applicable projects
  • Budget and monitor procurement expenditures
  • Perform research and recommend outsourcing and offshoring options for high-risk or low-volume projects
  • Support the strategic planning process
  • Perform any other related duties as required

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, business administration, finance, or related field
  • 3+ years’ proven experience in a procurement or purchasing or management role
