Production Sorter Job Description

A production sorter is a piece of equipment that is used to sort items into bins.

There are two common types of production sorters, an end-of-line sorter and a warehouse sorter.

An end-of-line production sorter is used to create order at the end of a production line.

The end of the line can be any place where items are prepared for shipment.

Items are fed onto the production sorter, where it is sorted into bins by size, type, or other characteristics.

A warehouse sorter is used to organize incoming cargo.

The warehouse sorter is organized in a grid-like fashion, with rows for bulk cargo.
