A production technician is an engineering or industrial professional responsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Production Technician who is able to operate and maintain production equipment, as well as troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a production environment and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Production Technician Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by making sure all equipment, tools, and construction materials are clean, sanitary, and in working order
  • Maneuver machinery, equipment, and supplies according to company safety rules and guidelines
  • Establish and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area
  • Perform daily checks on equipment, tools, and materials
  • Develop processes to improve organization efficiency
  • Be proactive and resolve problems
  • Assist with receiving and storing supplies
  • Lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Clean up spills and garbage

Production Technician Responsibilities:

  • Understand, interpret, and apply various construction codes, standards, and regulations to ensure that work and products meet code requirements
  • Assemble, install, or repair electrical systems, equipment, components, and systems, including low voltage
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical equipment
  • Provide technical support during emergencies and shutdowns
  • Perform quality control inspections
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • EENR, EIT, or NATE certification
  • Experience in HVAC and Solar energy systems
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schedules
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
