Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Program Specialist who can help us with our programming needs. We need someone who is experienced in programming and can help us with our specific needs.

Program Specialist Duties:

  • Provide expert technical and administrative support to Indian Country
  • Achieve project objectives by assessing project needs, conferring with USDA staff, and advising superiors on the best courses of action
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, track, and report on recurring issues
  • Work directly with Program Specialist, Community Support, Construction, Public Works, and Engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Ensures that department goals, priorities, and timelines are met
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion/growth by developing new business relationships
  • Be engaged in the community: meet with stakeholders, students and community groups, resulting in increased awareness of department services
  • Provide guidance and feedback to others to strengthen specific knowledge/skills areas

Program Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Develop outreach strategy for specific projects, including content, audience, and outreach tactics
  • Build relationships with key influencers, educators, and decision-makers, and attend or host workshops, conferences, and other events, to promote the company
  • Initiate and direct the implementation of outreach plan, including managing content development, outreach, events, and relationship management
  • Assist in planning community relations and fundraising events, including sponsorships and donations
  • Perform any other duties as necessary

Requirements And Skills:

  • 2+ years experience in related field
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong communication and computer skills
