Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Proposal Writer to join our team. The Proposal Writer will be responsible for researching and writing proposals in response to solicitations from government and commercial entities. The Proposal Writer will work closely with other members of the proposal team to ensure that all proposals are compliant with the solicitation requirements and are of the highest quality.

Proposal Writer Duties:

  • Write professional proposals and reports; develop proposals and proposals for new clients
  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients
  • Promote and market the organization and its offerings
  • Perform competitive analysis and research
  • Promote the organization and its services

Proposal Writer Responsibilities:

  • Develop market intelligence and write proposals and responses to Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposal
  • Develop responses and proposals based on client needs
  • Analyze and respond to RFPs in order to analyze the technical and financial feasibility of responses
  • Produce detailed and comprehensive proposals and responses to RFPs
  • Work on long-term/short-term strategic sourcing projects
  • Update and maintain the RFP database

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 3+ years of experience in a managerial role, with responsibility for proposal development
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
  • Knowledge of construction management and scheduling methods
