A psychometrist is a person who measures the psychometric properties of an individual.

Psychometrist Duties:

  • Perform psychological, cognitive, and other tests and evaluate test results
  • Work with other professionals to formulate treatment plans
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans
  • Provide feedback on test results
  • Create exercises for treatments
  • Perform research on specific topics in order to keep up with current treatment methods
  • Provide feedback to other professionals about patient progress
  • Interview potential patients and determine eligibility for treatments
  • Track patient progress
  • Attend seminars, classes, and conferences to learn more about psychological treatments

Psychometrist Responsibilities:

  • Develop and conduct psychometric assessments, including interviews, job simulations, and other performance assessments
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database, including applicant and employee records, and compile reports from this database
  • Maintain confidentiality of client data, and comply with all privacy and security regulations
  • Use a wide variety of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • Work with organization’s psychologists and other professionals to provide services to candidates, clients, managers, and employees
  • Train new employees in company’s assessment tools and procedures

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field
  • Proven experience in retail, sales, or customer service
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Organized, able to work independently
  • Understanding of psychometrist principles and practices
  • Knowledge of rheology and wettability testing
