They may liaise with colleagues in the organisation who are responsible for marketing, advertising, and sales.

They may also liaise with customers, shareholders, or members of the public, advising them on matters of publicity and propaganda.

Public Relations Duties:

  • Assist with achieving overall public relations goals of the organization by implementing media relations strategies and by serving as liaison between the organization and the public
  • Assist with developing and implementing media outreach plans and following through on media coverage
  • Research and evaluate potential opportunities for communication
  • Work with media relations, marketing, and other departments to promote products and services
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with various media outlets

Public Relations Responsibilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, English, or related field
  • 3+ years of public relations experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with social media, blogging, and video
  • Experience and knowledge of brand strategy, positioning,

Requirements And Skills:

  • Assist with public relations projects, including working on website content, writing press releases, organizing events, and researching and compiling information for reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts, create media lists, and organize and send press releases and correspondence
  • Research and write news items for media distribution
  • Assist with the development of social media content
  • Oversee the maintenance of all company social media accounts
