We’re looking for an experienced Public Relations Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing public relations and communications strategies to support our organization’s goals. You will also manage media relations activities, write and edit press releases and other communications materials, and plan and execute special events. Public Relations Director Duties:

  • Develop and implement public relations strategies, plans, and tactics
  • Develop, maintain, and promote the company’s image; providing insight into how the company should be portrayed

  • Develop relationships with the media

Public Relations Director Responsibilities:

  • Research and write news stories, feature articles, editorials, press releases, blog posts, and social media posts, capturing the voice of the client in creative and persuasive ways
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, national, and international media as well as regional and national trade publications
  • Manage relationships with large, medium, and small companies as well as individuals, government agencies, and community groups
  • Develop creative concepts for media pitches, conduct media outreach, and create media lists to support public relations efforts
  • Write articles for internal, external, and client-facing publications, and publish the company newsletter
  • Write and edit related materials, such as client brochures, sales collateral, press releases, and direct mail pieces
  • Research and compose correspondence related to assigned projects, including responses to inquiries, proposals, and requests for proposals
  • Create accurate documents and reports using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Keep abreast of current industry

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in public relations, journalism, English, communications, marketing, advertising, business or similar
  • 5+ years of experience working for a nonprofit
  • Expert understanding of public relations and marketing principles
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design, photography
