A quality assurance specialist (QAS) is a position in an organization that ensures the quality and reliability of products and services, from design to production, distribution and post-sales support.

A QAS reviews the plans and specifications of the company’s products to ensure they meet all the necessary requirements.

We’re looking for Quality Assurance Specialist to help us improve the quality of our products and services. Quality Assurance Specialist Duties:

  • Checks all materials to ensure conformance to standards
  • Completes proper documentation for implementation
  • Establishes corrective action plans when appropriate
  • Locates and reports errors and discrepancies
  • Accurately completes and submits billing and documentation
  • Coordinates and works directly with subcontractors
  • Accomplishes tasks within established time lines
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Quality Assurance Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed project records, including timesheet logs, subcontractor work logs, and daily inspection logs
  • Assist the Construction Manager with providing administrative coordination, including payroll, scheduling, and invoicing
  • Attend and coordinate with project managers throughout the construction process to ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition
  • Prepare and send out daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding the project progress
  • Assist with maintaining project records, including photos, videos, and documents
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout
  • Assist with preparing project records, including photos, videos, and documents
  • Maintain and update SOW and preconstruction documents, and monitor contract obligations with a goal of building relationships with reliable contractors and vendors

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in QA and 2+ years’ experience in operations
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and inspection procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements
