Radiologic Technologist Job Description

A radiologic technologist, or x-ray technician, is a healthcare professional who performs imaging procedures such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and ultrasound.

A radiologic technologist works under the supervision of a radiologist, a physician who specializes in the use of imaging technologies.

Radiographers usually earn an associate's degree in radiography or an associate's degree in radiologic technology and to become certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

A radiologic technologist must then become licensed in his or her state or territory to practice.

We're looking for an experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team. Radiologic Technologist Duties:

  • Perform X-rays and scans of airport patients

  • Performs diagnostic radiographic examinations on patients according to accepted procedures and policies
  • Prepares and maintains radiographic equipment
  • Completes patient records according to accepted practice standards

  • Performs quality checks of radiographs
  • Attends continuing education classes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
