A regional field marketing manager is a person who markets goods and services to regional customers.

They report to the regional manager, who reports to the regional sales manager, who reports to the regional director, who reports to the regional manager, who reports to the chief marketing officer (CMO) or vice president, who reports to the chief executive officer (CEO) or president.

Thus, like a field sales manager, a regional field marketing manager is the middle level between the marketing manager and the regional manager.

Their main duties include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling field marketing activities.

Job Brief:

We're looking for a Regional Field Marketing Manager to lead and oversee all marketing initiatives in the field for our company. This role will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans and strategies that support the growth of our business in the region. The Regional Field Marketing Manager will work closely with the sales team to ensure that all marketing activities are aligned with our sales goals and objectives. This is a highly visible position that requires a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Regional Field Marketing Manager Duties:

  • Maintain successful relationships with high-level senior management, as well as mid-level management, at assigned accounts
  • Co-ordinate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies for assigned accounts
  • Conduct review of client business processes and recommend appropriately customized solutions
  • Identify new sales opportunities and monitor competitors
  • Research and evaluate customer needs
  • Develop sales strategies and action plans
  • Prepare proposals, demos, and presentations
  • Understand different customer needs and develop proposals to meet those needs
  • Develop formal sales strategies
  • Integrate sales and marketing efforts
  • Meet or exceed the team’s sales quotas

Regional Field Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute marketing plans and programs to achieve sales, market share, and business plan objectives, including maintaining, improving, and expanding market share through effective lead generation campaigns
  • Perform market research and competitor analysis, and develop sales strategies, including pricing and promotion, to meet overall objectives
  • Develop sales pipelines, prospect lists, and qualification criteria, and participate in sales calls
  • Acquire and maintain strong relationships with prospects and other decision makers through regular communication and networking, and by maintaining a thorough understanding of the customer's industry
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with cross-functional team members, including sales, engineering, operations, logistics, and sales support
  • Develop and update product and pricing data to ensure accuracy and consistency
