Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Residential Aide to join our team! The Residential Aide will provide assistance to residents in all areas of daily living, including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and transfers. The Residential Aide will also perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and bed making, and will provide medication reminders as needed. Residential Aide Duties:

  • Provide residential care services
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, grooming, eating, and using the restroom
  • Promote positive self-esteem and self-worth through interaction
  • Calculate medication dosages and assist with any necessary dietary changes
  • Ensure residents receive proper medical care as needed
  • Assist residents with medication administration
  • Communicate with attending physicians, case managers, and other health care professionals
  • Complete required documentation

Residential Aide Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality, compassionate care for our elderly residents, including assisting with meals and medication
  • Perform light housekeeping activities such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, light cleaning, and minor repairs
  • Assist with personal care, transporting residents to appointments, and assisting with activities of daily living
  • Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, and other common areas
  • Organize residents’ belongings and assist with laundry
  • Assist with recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, gardening, and games
  • Assist with errands, such as grocery shopping, banking, and post office visits
  • Assist with food service, food preparation, and cooking
  • Attend scheduled training, meetings, and conferences
  • Proactively seek ways to exceed resident and employee expectations

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in human services, related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ working directly with adults, preferably in a residential setting
  • Excellent communication skills; well-developed customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail
  • Ability to solve problems
