Job Brief:

We’re looking for a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, current state licensure, and at least 1 year of experience in the field. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and who is excited to work in a fast-paced environment. Respiratory Therapist Duties:

  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and physicians
  • Provide quality, compassionate, and professional respiratory care to patients
  • Keep current with national evidence-based guidelines, practices, and technologies
  • Recommend the best course of treatment for each patient
  • Examine patient’s lungs, throat, mouth, nose, and ears
  • Scan patient’s chest with a computerized tomography (CT) scanner
  • Perform medical tests, such as pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas testing, and sputum analysis
  • Perform breathing treatments, such as inspiratory and expiratory positive airway pressure (PAP and EPAP)
  • Assist in the surgery department
  • Perform pulmonary function testing
  • Monitor patients during and after surgery for complications
  • Perform maintenance on ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Communicate with others, such as physicians,

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • 2+ years of experience as a respiratory therapist
  • Extensive knowledge of respiratory care procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in respiratory care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
